I will stop occasionally for fresh roadkill and grind it up with a little barley and hops, few lentils, smidgen of cayenne pepper, dose of cod liver oil, and oatmeal for a thickener. That’s about as natural as it gets for my show dogs-Akitas !

It’s something that you have to research if you want to feed it. They need a certain amount of everything. From most to least: Meat, vegetables, organ meat, oils, and any thing else your dog requires including…apple cider vinegar or kelp. There’s lots of good books out there on how to feed your dog a natural diet and I’m sure there will be lots on the net as well. Go into a pet health food store and they will be able to answers any questions and give you lots of info. Or phone up a holistic vet and they will do the same.
