I think that the only way the Pedigree dog food can be recalled is if you got it from Wal-mart or something like that.

    NO!

Pedigree products are definitely NOT part of the recall.

Pedigree is not on the list but the list has been changed over the last few days. More products added. I would be leary of feeding my pet any wet/canned food or those products in food pouches too.

I haven’t seen Pedigree named exactly but I too am wondering because I gave Robbie, my shitzsu pedigree two nights ago and during the night he was violently sick.

My 5 year old healthy, indoor lab/chow mix died Monday from kidney failure. We have been feeding her pedigree for quite some time, but a week ago ran out so we picked up a different kind of pedigree dry food from a nearby kroger. A week later she died. I started noticing symptoms Sat night, vomiting and diarreha. After researching her symptoms online most of the day on Sunday I come to the conclusion it was renal failure. Then I caught the 8 o clock news and saw the story. I thought this cannnot be a coincidence. We had her bloodwork done Monday morning at 9 and then she died at 2 pm. We got the bloodwork back later that day confirming my research, renal/kidney failure. She went from a perfectly healthy dog to this in 2 days. I’ve been trying to warn everyone I know with pets to not take the news as the truth.. they may not know the scope of the issue. We even tried to alret Fox news to get the word out. I am not sure what to believe, but she was perfectly healthy, always crated if I am not there, and only goes outside to use the bathroom and then wants back in.. thats how she was.. there are no toxins she could have gotten into………. when we got the results back from the vet he sd her BUN level was 125. He actually used the phrase “like she had gotten into rat poison or something of that nature” this is pissing me off. no one wants to listen.. everyone’s saying its just the wet food bc thats what they hear on tv. There are going to be more and more reported cases of dry food (PEDIGREE) being linked to this. But I cant get the word out on anything but yahoo answers. pedigree wont return calls, fda, fox news, no one.
