Q&A: Is it ok to feed your dog raw chicken and rice for breakfast, and then actual dog food for supper ?
Question by fairys wear boots.: Is it ok to feed your dog raw chicken and rice for breakfast, and then actual dog food for supper ?
I don’t know if you seen my last question, but when I was a kid my grandpa had coon dogs that we just fed scraps after we ate our meal, and they lived to be SOOO much older than any of my dogs ever have.
So can I do like a half and half of human and dog food…
So something like plain white rice, veggies, and raw meat for breakfast…
Then some dog food for supper?
Reason why is because I can NOT afford high quality dog food, I get what I can get. I eat ramen noodles and can’t afford expensive meals even for myself lol, so i get cheap dog food. But he does need that extra protein, so how can I give it to him? IS the chicken rice and veggies enough?

Dogs are carnivores they are made to eat raw meat but with chicken the bones can splinter, and be sure to freeze it so kill parasites
