Ah, I see. I know about cooked bones, but the fact cooking turkey changes
the fat and skin is very interesting. Thanks for the feedback.
Because it has cooked bones. Cooked bones are sharp and cannot be eaten.
Cooking the turkey dries out the bones and changes the skin and fat, all
which can be dangerous to your dog. Cooked bones splinter and break the
wrong way. And cooked skin and fat can lead to pancreatitis.
I always wondered why cooked Turkey can kill dogs when they can eat it raw.
Have any idea?
Beautiful dog! Are your dogs ears flopped becasue of hematomas? My lab is
going to be 4 this year, and last year he had 6 hematomas within a few
months of eachother, 4 in one ear and 2 in another. I switched him to raw
about 7 months back after his hematoma episodes, and he loves it and is so
much better for it.
Yes! One ear was from running into the corner of a wall while trying to
kill a stuffed pig. And the other ear is a looong story, lol.
