So since Pedigree dog food isn’t good for dogs..?

Is Purina Cat Chow good for cats? I mean they are both commercial brands so I was just curious. If not could you recommend good cat food.

Nope…
Purchase your pet food in a store specifically designed for better pet health and nutrition. Avoid brands that you find in grocery and department stores ie: Walmart.
I personally choose the following brands for my pets:
Orijen
Taste of the Wild
Fromm
Natures’ Variety
Blue Buffalo
Wellness Core
Go!
Natural Balance

Most people who answer this will NOT agree with me, however I have always started my kittens on Purina kitten chow & then when they were old enough switched them to Purina multi formula for indoor cats. My oldest cat Tonka, passed away this summer at close to 19 years old & my others range between 16 years to 8 mos. Unless it did not agree with my one of my cats for some reason or you have a special needs cat, Purina works well for me. None of my cats have been sick very often or needed to be taken to the vet for much of anything except routine check ups shots & of course to be spayed or neutered. My dog who is almost 8 eats Purina also, right along with my goats, rabbits, & chickens.
