Mars owns Pedigree & Cesars, Colgate-Palmolive owns Science Diet. Nestle owns Alpo,Purina, Delmonte owns Nature’s Recipie, Gravy Train, Kibbles n’Bits & Proctor & Gamble owns Iams/Eukanuba.
All of the store brand foods are now owned by the “big” commercial companies..which has caused them to use more cheap fillers and to “cheapen” all of the ingredients…foods that use to be of good quality are no longer.

It is now a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated. The UK division of Mars Inc. has been called Masterfoods since January 2002, until it was split into 4 separate entities in 2007 : Mars Petcare UK, Mars Complementary Petcare UK, Mars Chocolate UK and Mars Food UK. Previously it was Pedigree Masterfoods and Mars Confectionery (a division, making the Mars Bar, is based in Slough).
